Polish Winery protects grapes from bird damage with the AVIX Autonomic Mark II laser bird repellent

Life-changing innovation

Widokowa, a 4-hectare family winery, is located in the Subcarpathian region, in the Czarnorzecko – Strzyżowski Landscape Park. Its unique location makes it one of the most beautiful wineries in Poland. However, there are still some issues. The main one is bird damage, a problem familiar to most of the wineries around the world. The most basic protection measures, such as, scaring the birds away with loud noises or driving around the winery was time-consuming and not effective enough. Eventually, the pest birds habituated to these methods and they no longer worked.

The owner, Krzysztof Stanisławczyk, felt helpless fighting against this ongoing bird problem. He started to search for an efficient yet environmentally friendly alternative to reduce bird damage. Krzystof found the AVIX Autonomic Mark II and he found that the bird deterrent system had improved the functioning of the winery.

Crop loss decreased to 12% after laser deployment

The first harvest before the laser was deployed revealed how serious the problem was, more than 40% of the wine grapes were eaten by the birds. AVIX Autonomic Mark II reduced the loss percentage to 12%, which caused a significant increase in the winery’s yearly revenue. The laser bird deterrent solution helped the winery save over 7,839 kg of production on bird damage.

The cost-efficient and unchallenging installation process is a result of the system being able to be modified according to your needs, with just your phone and the mobile app. The AVIX Autonomic Mark II provides you with protection and simplicity you’ve never experienced before. Feel free to contact us and hear more about the solutions implemented in Krzysztof’s winery.

“The AVIX Autonomic Mark II helped me with the problem of bird damage at the winery – I thought this was something I couldn’t control by any means. I strongly recommend every single winery and plantation with bird problems to use this laser bird deterrent, it will benefit them greatly if they implement this solution.”
